I feel like the worst social networker in the world, J. 2009 started off kind of ... complicated. Don's been in hospital again (for lung problems). I gave him a terrible upper-respiratory infection. (Talk about guilt.) And one of my dearest freelance writers and friends, Jim Pettit, died of complications from a heart transplant. I have NOT kept up with Facebook at all. Stresses me out. Too many other things to get done. Thanks for the nice comments about my pic. Lighting and makeup work miracles, girl. And two ladies insisted on straightening my hair ... I never do that. Hope all is well with Sar, the boys, and the Aiken paper. Much love, Janet Gumby
