There is a playground that is almost entirely fenced in off Purdue Drive down by Raeford Road. It is a bit hidden b/c it is behind a Recreation Center. Its actually quite big with lots to do.

If you live on in North Fayetteville there is a nice toddler playground that is entirely fenced in at the Recreation Center attached to Pine Forest Middle School. That playground is north of GoodYear Tire Plant on Ramsey Street.

Hi Everyone, I'll upload a photo soon. I'm looking for the best playground(s) on Fort Bragg. Any suggestions? I have a 2 year old boy and 4 1/2 year old girl.

Thank You Allison, now my next concern, brought to me by my husband, is with the Swine flu attacking, do I really want to take the grands out? This is pretty scary stuff, and just hope it burns itself out fast. I'll check Lake Rim next time I'm out that way. I do love the fenced in areas, they keep this Grandma in control for a little while :-)

You know, that is the toughest thing about playgrounds, they're never fenced in! I have three kids and when they run in three different directions... let's just say I'm wishing really hard a fence would appear. I think, not certain, but I think the playground at the upper parking lot at Lake Rim Park is fenced in, but again, it's not shaded, so that's probably not helpful. I'll keep my eyes posted as i buzz around town this week.

Hi everyone! I figured if I were to want to know something, one of you may be able to help. I am looking for a playground geared to 2-3 year olds, that is fenced, similar to the one at Hope Mills Lake. I love taking the grands there, but the sun makes it way too warm! Does anyone know of something like this that is shaded for this Grandma?? Thanks in advance!

There will be lots of information about summer camps and things for families to do this summer at the Summer Camp and Kids Expo at Cross Creek Mall on March 21. The event is hosted by the Partnership for Children and this year's event coordinator, Renee Harris, has really done a great job contacting camps and businesses from all over the state. If you go to the calendar on the home page and click on March 21 you can get more information about some of the camps that will be there.
